Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles has picked "That Girl" to be the lead-off single from her upcoming debut solo album. Billboard.com says the country singer introduced the track along with four other songs at an event in Nashville on Monday.
Nettles described "That Girl" as a counterpoint of sorts to Dolly Parton's "Jolene." She explained that it's from the perspective of a woman who "has obviously been bamboozled," and once she realizes it calls the other woman explaining she's "not that girl," but her man is "being that guy."
Nettles' "That Girl" is slated for an August release.
